Caring Transitions is looking for great people to join our growing team of compassionate helpers who want to serve older adults and their families transitioning into new living arrangements. We provide a range of services including space planning, organizing, decluttering, packing, resettling, estate sales & online auctions, home clean-outs, and more.

What you will do in this role:

  • Sorting, Organizing, Downsizing: Assist clients with sorting through their belongings, separating items to organize, keep, donate, sell, or discard. Approach the process with sensitivity and empathy, respecting the personal value of items while helping to streamline possessions for their new living environment.
  • Packing and Unpacking: Securely wrap and box clients' belongings for transportation, using Caring Transitions’ approved materials and techniques. Resettle client into new residence, unpacking items with care, arranging them thoughtfully to create a welcoming and functional living space, to enable Day One Living.
  • Estate Sales & Online Auctions: Sort, clean, stage, and price estate contents for sale. Photograph and describe items for sale on CTBids.com.
  • Home Clean-Outs: Remove all personal property from client's home (usually so it can be listed for sale.) Useable items in good condition will be donated, others discarded.

This position is part-time with a flexible schedule. Your work schedule will vary based on client needs and your availability. We operate Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. THE NUMBER OF HOURS YOU ARE SCHEDULED MAY VARY EACH WEEK AND NO MINIMUM IS GUARANTEED. Does this fit what you are looking for?*

Caring Transitions uses a mobile app for scheduling, team communications, and other employee functions. Do you have a smart phone, are proficient using it, and comfortable learning new apps?*
Working conditions will be safe, but may not always be clean, comfortable, or climate-controlled. Additionally, work may involve varying periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, or lifting (up to about 30 lbs.).
