We are seeking a Transition Specialist to join our team. Caring Transitions Fredericksburg provides downsizing, relocation, resettling, and online estate liquidation services for seniors and their families throughout the FXBG area. As a Transition Care Specialist you will (including but not limited to):
Assist clients in sorting through their belongings, offering guidance and support in making decisions about what to keep, donate, sell or discard
Maximize space efficiency in clients’ homes by implementing innovative storage solution and organizational strategies
Support the logistics of the household move and meeting movers
Create descriptions and titles for unique items to be sold in our online auctions
Photograph and posting items for sale
Help prep, stage, and run online auction pick-ups
Interact with clients, their families and other coworkers while providing a high level of customer service to clients and customers.
Assist clients with unpacking and setting up their new living spaces, including furniture arrangement, organizing belongings, and connecting utilities
Offer emotional support and reassurance to clients throughout the relocation process, addressing their concerns and answering questions
Job Requirements (included but not limited to):
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Experience in retail, thrift stores, and/or warehouse environments is preferred but not required
Experience working with older adults is a plus
Understand the value of items and likes to take pictures
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable source of transportation
Must be able to stand, reach and move/bend for prolonged periods of time and be able to lift 20 pounds frequently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive client information
Have a smart phone for scheduling, timekeeping, and using project management app and online auction app
Willing to submit to a background check
Benefits for You:
$16.00/hour starting pay based on experience, increases after 6 months
Flexible scheduling – part time position with 3-6 hour day shifts, primarily M-F
Position is only as needed; some weeks no hours; others 20+ hours
