Part-Time Senior Move & Organizing Specialist/Team Lead
The Senior Move & Organizing Specialist /Team Lead plays an important role in helping seniors and their families navigate life transitions with professionalism, compassion, and care.This is project-based, part-time work, with hours varying according to client projects and business needs. Hours are not guaranteed. Some weeks may have limited or no scheduled work, while busier weeks may offer up to five days/shifts. This flexible opportunity can be a great fit for retirees, stay-at-home parents, individuals seeking supplemental income, or anyone who enjoys meaningful, hands-on work helping others.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, direct, and support team members on assigned projects
- Review and execute each project in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW), estimate, client expectations, and special instructions; projects may include sorting/organizing, pack-move-resettles, cleanouts, and online auction preparation
- Plan and oversee daily project execution, including staffing, tasks, labor hours, materials, sequencing, quality, and schedules to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Serve as the primary on-site client contact, communicating professionally and compassionately with clients, families, senior living communities, vendors, movers, and management
- Manage project scope and client expectations; identify requests or circumstances outside the SOW and escalate significant changes, additional work, or cost/time impacts to management before proceeding
- Monitor project progress and labor throughout the day, resolve challenges using sound judgment, and communicate significant issues and project updates to management
- Ensure company policies, safety requirements, quality standards, white-glove service expectations, and proper care of client belongings, property, equipment, and job sites
- Perform hands-on work alongside the team, including packing, unpacking, organizing, downsizing, and resettling clients for same-day living, while coordinating with and overseeing movers
- Accurately report team hours, project status, scope concerns, and relevant client updates to management
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills

- Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and professional when working with seniors and families experiencing stressful or emotional transitions
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written project instructions to meet client expectations for white glove services that Caring Transitions provides
- Comfortable leading others in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Dependable, professional, compassionate, and adaptable
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and everyday technology
Physical and logistical Requirements
This is a hands-on position requiring the ability to:- Frequently lift and carry up to 30 lb.
- Stand and walk for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions
- Frequently navigate stairs, sometimes while carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Pack, unpack, move, organize, stage, donate, and resettle household items
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project locations throughout our service area
- Availability for weekday, daytime project shifts, with start/end times varying based on client and project needs, most typically between 8am and 4pm
- Comfortable working in a variety of home environments, including cluttered, dusty, or physically demanding conditions
- May drive company vehicles, transport client property, enter clients' homes unsupervised, handle keys, or work around vulnerable seniors — valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and clean background checks are required
