Business Development Representative
Caring Transition of South St. Petersburg helps make smooth and stress-free transitions for seniors from one living situation to another. We specialize in relocation, downsizing and estate sales. The Business Development Representative is responsible for contacting and developing new referrals and qualified leads. This person will act as a liaison between our marketing and sales teams. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious, results-driven, and eager to bring our product/services to new markets and new referral partners and will effectively problem solve while working independently with minimal supervision. The overall goal is to drive sales, develop markets and create new opportunities for the franchise by working closely with the franchisee to accomplish these goals.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure referral sources based on market needs and trends to collaborate with Caring Transitions of South St. Petersburg in an effort to build working relationships, drive revenue and increase long-term business development.
- Follow up with new sales leads establishing rapport by making an initial phone or email contact and then conduct follow meetings, in person or by other means to deepen those connections and convert leads to sales.
- Actively pursue sales partnerships with as many referral sources and leads as possible by phone, email and in person (local travel) to encourage them to recommend our services to their clients and ultimately drive sales.
- Be the point person for your team's sales lead qualification process.
- Sell service packages that meet the need, wants and objectives of our senior clients
- Schedule and present at trade shows, public education events and networking events
- Stay in close contact with existing accounts or leads and create brand awareness, educational opportunities, and request referrals for our products and services.
- Coordinate in-person meetings and calls between the new clients and Operations Management.
- Help develop and implement marketing plans, campaign strategies and market strategy insights.
- Help manage marketing efforts and activities by utilizing cross-functional project management and social media tools.
- Answer calls and emails from clients and referral sources, identify customer issue and make suggestions for the solution using our products and services.
- Maintain effective internal communications regarding marketing functions and activities
Requirements:
- Must have a positive mindset and strong sense of purpose with the capacity to develop a passion for the mission and vision of the franchise
- Self-starter, but also works well in a team environment
- Minimum 3 years' experience in sales and marketing with proven results
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls) desired, travel sales is a plus
- Experience or familiarity with CRM software desired but not required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ie MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Must possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) as well as sound ethical decision making capabilities
- Excellent prioritization and organization skills are required
- Basic knowledge of online project management and scheduling tools is desired
