Estate Sale Lead

Position Overview: This role will lead our liquidation efforts with but not limited to online auctions, estate sales, shipping of sold items, and managing our online presence. The ideal candidate will have experience with leading a team, e-commerce platforms, a knack for organization, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Online Auctions and Estate Sales:
- Lead the team on-sight in sorting and organizing household items for online auctions and estate sales.
- Create, update and maintain auction listings, including accurate descriptions and high-quality images.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to train team members on all aspects of sale set-up.
- Monitor auction progress and respond to bidder inquiries in partnership with the Project Manager.
- Ensure smooth execution of estate sales, including coordination with clients and handling logistics.
- Build a rapport with CTbids buyers at pick up and estate sale buyers. Continue to add private buyers/resellers to our database.
- Strive to maintain and grow our metrics in online auctions and estate sales.
- Shipping and Logistics:
- Manage packaging and shipping of sold items, ensuring items are securely packed and dispatched in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and handle any shipping-related issues or claims.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Online Presence Management for Sales:
- Update and maintain our online platforms, including social media accounts and websites.
- Develop and post engaging content related to our auctions and sales.
- Monitor online engagement and respond to comments or inquiries in a professional manner.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain inventory records and manage data entry for auction and sale transactions.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the liquidation process.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with online auctions, estate sales, or e-commerce platforms preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using various online tools and platforms (e.g., eBay, Shopify, social media).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently.
- Familiarity with shipping and logistics processes is a plus.
- Flexible part-time hours, with the expectation for evening work depending on auction and sale schedules.
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
