Business Development Representative & Sales Consultant
Chesterfield, MO - Full Time
WHO WE ARE
Caring Transitions of Central St. Louis is based in Chesterfield, Missouri. Caring Transitions is the nation's largest provider of senior relocation, downsizing, and online auction services, with 400+ locations nationwide.
Our mission is simple: reduce stress for older adults and their families during the most meaningful, and often most difficult, transitions of their lives. We do this with compassion, expertise, and a full suite of services tailored to each family's unique situation.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a dual-role position that sits at the heart of how we grow. You will be equally responsible for building the referral partner relationships that generate inbound leads AND for conducting in-home sales consultations to convert those leads into signed clients.
The right candidate is equally comfortable walking into a senior living community to introduce our services as they are sitting at a kitchen table with a family, listening carefully to their needs and recommending the right combination of services to reduce their stress and solve their problem.
This is not a cold-call role. This is a relationship role, built on genuine care for seniors and families, sustained by consistent, thoughtful outreach to the professional community that serves them.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Referral Partner Development
Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key referral sources: senior living and assisted living communities, elder law and estate planning attorneys, financial advisors, hospice and home health providers, senior placement specialists, social workers, care managers, discharge planners, and faith-based community leaders
Conduct in-person visits, deliver educational presentations, and host or attend lunch-and-learns at partner locations throughout the St. Louis metro
Represent Caring Transitions and One Hand to Hold at networking events, senior service coalitions, chambers of commerce, and community outreach activities
Maintain a consistent cadence of meaningful follow-up: in-person visits, phone calls, handwritten notes, and small appreciation gestures, to keep our team top of mind
Collaborate with our Trusted Transition Team real estate team on shared referral sources: a relationship you build for CT can send a real estate client to TT and vice versa
Capture client testimonials, partner stories, and content opportunities for our marketing team
In-Home Sales Consultations
Promptly respond to and schedule inbound leads from our website, paid advertising, CTBids.com, social media, and other marketing channels
Conduct compassionate, thorough in-home or virtual consultations with prospective clients and their families assessing scope, timeline, emotional needs, and budget
Educate families on our full service menu: senior relocation, downsizing, packing, move management, estate sales, online auctions through CTBids.com, home cleanouts, space planning, and resettling
Prepare written estimates and proposals, walk clients through pricing and next steps, and close with empathy, not pressure
Coordinate a smooth handoff to our operations team once a project is signed, and follow up to ensure the client experience meets our standards
Identify real estate needs during consultations and introduce the Trusted Transition Team's 4 Options model to families who may benefit
CRM, Reporting & Brand Stewardship
Track all referral activity, lead status, consultations, and closed business in GoHighLevel (our CRM) maintained consistently, not as an afterthought
Provide weekly activity summaries and pipeline updates to leadership
Monitor your own key metrics: outreach contacts, consultations conducted, conversion rate, average project value, and referral source production
Represent Caring Transitions and One Hand to Hold brand standards in all written, verbal, and in-person communications
