Caring Transitions of Great Neck helps elderly clients and their families through some of life's most significant transitions — downsizing from a long-time home, resettling into a new one, or clearing out a home after the loss of a loved one. We manage relocations, conduct online auctions and estate sales, and perform compassionate, professional clean-outs. We serve clients in and around Great Neck, Queens, and surrounding areas.
We're part of Caring Transitions, a national franchise with over 400 locations and the largest senior relocation company in the country. Our Great Neck team is small, hands-on, and genuinely proud of the work we do.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Sorting and organizing client’s household belongings for packing, moving, selling, donation or disposal.
Online auction or estate sale preparation and setup
Packing/boxing household items to be moved
Unpacking and resettling clients in their new home
Moving supplies/boxes within the customers’ homes
Light cleaning including sweeping and vacuuming
Interacting with customers and their families
Hours: Part-time, variable hours Monday-Friday and occasionally Saturdays. Shifts are generally from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There is no guarantee of work. Shifts become available as jobs are sold.

Required for the job:
Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and own reliable transportation
Must be comfortable driving in the NYC boroughs, and parallel parking (parking is reimbursed)
Must agree to background and driving record checks
Excellent attention to detail
Fluency in spoken and written English
Must be able to safely and repeatedly lift up to 35 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
Must have a smartphone (for scheduling, time-keeping, project management and processing auction items)
