Job Description:
Caring Transitions is expanding! (www.caringtransitionsaugusta.com)

Caring Transitions is a nationally recognized franchise specializing in senior relocation, downsizing, estate cleanouts, and online auctions through our proprietary CTBIDS platform. Our mission is to provide compassionate, streamlined support during life transitions—and we’re seeking someone passionate about both community engagement and business development to help bring our services to this new market.

The Business Development Representative will drive growth by identifying and engaging potential clients through lead generation, building relationships with local businesses and referral sources, and conducting client consultations. This role involves developing tailored proposals, securing signed contracts, and collaborating with sales leadership to refine strategies and meet targets. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator and problem-solver focused on delivering exceptional client service and business results.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and target potential clients through a variety of outreach strategies, including cold calling, networking, and other lead generation techniques.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including local businesses, community organizations, and senior living facilities, to establish trust and loyalty.
  • Sales Development: Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute strategies aimed at expanding our service offerings and securing new business opportunities.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct in-depth needs assessments with referral sources to understand their unique challenges and tailor solutions in areas such as relocation services, downsizing, estate cleanouts, and online auctions.
  • Market Research: Continuously monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Maintain accurate records of activities, referral interactions, and progress in CRM systems to ensure alignment with sales targets and performance goals.
  • Client Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations with potential clients to understand their specific needs related to downsizing, relocation, and liquidation services. Utilize active listening and problem-solving skills to identify the best possible solutions.
  • Proposal Development: After each consultation, prepare and send detailed proposals tailored to the client’s needs, outlining the scope of services and associated costs.
  • Client Follow-Up & Closing: Respond to client questions and concerns regarding the proposal and work closely with them to address any objections. The goal is to secure a signed Scope of Services Agreement, finalizing the client’s commitment to our services.
  • Potential Client Management: Respond promptly to all potential client inquiries within agreed-upon timeframes set by the Owner. Input potential client details into the project management system as required to ensure seamless follow-up and coordination.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in office management, marketing, advertising, or public relations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Social Media marketing, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with strong analytical abilities.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
  • Constant sitting, listening, and talking.
  • Ability to frequently lift approximately 10-25 lbs.
