Relocation and Estate Operations Specialist (Part-Time)
Caring Transitions of Norwalk, CT is looking for a Part-Time Relocation and Estate Operations Specialist to join the team in our Norwalk office. The Relocation and Estate Operations Specialist will assist with packing and resettlement services as well as setting up and executing estate sales (online or in-person) and liquidations offered by Caring Transitions to clients.

Position Summary
Relocation Services
- Carefully pack and wrap furniture, fragile items, and personal belongings.
- Safely load and unload items during moves, ensuring all items are handled with care.
- Assist with organizing and arranging items in the new location as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to senior clients and their families.
- Treat all items, especially sentimental belongings, with respect and compassion.
- Sort, organize, lot and photograph items for online estate sale auctions
- Identify suitable auction items, check pricing, write up descriptions, research origins and provenance
- Work and attend in-person auction pick-ups and estate sales
- List, monitor and ship items for online sales via auctions and other avenues
- Develop new channels by identifying new marketplaces, and opportunities for growth- Monitor industry trends and stay updated on market developments
Requirements:
- Experience in Estate Sales, online sales or auctions is ideal
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, move furniture, and perform physical tasks such as bending, walking, and climbing stairs throughout the day. Requires stamina and the ability to work safely in various environments
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficient in using software tools for business development, including Microsoft Office, cell phones, laptop, and desktop.
- Project management skills to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Must Provide Own Transportation or arrange own transportation to office and job sites

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18-$20 per hour
Expected hours: 0 – 16+ hours per week
Schedule:
- 4-8 hour shift
- Monday to Saturday (weekends as needed)
- Sales or customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Estate Sales, online auction or internet sales
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Generally)
Ability to Commute:
- Norwalk, Darien, Westport, New Canaan, Wilton, Weston or as otherwise directed by the Owner
